Use this code when pathology reports confirm carcinoma in situ of the cervix, often identified through a biopsy following an abnormal Pap smear. Documentation should clearly state "carcinoma in situ" or "cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) III" without evidence of stromal invasion.

• Differentiate from cervical dysplasia (CIN I or CIN II), which are less severe.
