Supporting documentation should clearly describe the nature of the paranoid ideation and rule out other specified psychotic disorders.

• Ensure documentation explicitly states "other specified paranoid states" or provides sufficient detail to differentiate from paranoid schizophrenia (295.3x) or delusional disorder (297.1).
