Recession of chamber angle, bilateral

Use this code when documentation explicitly states "recession of chamber angle, bilateral" or describes traumatic iridodialysis or cyclodialysis affecting both eyes, resulting in a widened anterior chamber angle. Supporting documentation should include findings from gonioscopy confirming the bilateral angle recession.

• Ensure documentation specifies "bilateral" involvement; otherwise, use the appropriate unilateral code (H21.551 or H21.552).
