Exposure to radiofrequency, initial encounter

This code describes the initial presentation of a patient who has been exposed to radiofrequency radiation. This exposure may or may not have resulted in an injury or adverse health effect, but the encounter is specifically for the assessment or management of the exposure itself.

Use this code when a patient presents for the first time following an incident involving radiofrequency exposure, such as from a malfunctioning industrial device, a high-power antenna, or an occupational hazard. It is appropriate for initial evaluations, even if no immediate symptoms are present but the exposure is a concern.
