Assign this code when documentation specifies esophageal dyskinesia, diffuse esophageal spasm, nutcracker esophagus, or other non-achalasia primary esophageal motility disorders. Supporting documentation typically includes findings from esophageal manometry studies.

• Differentiate from achalasia (K22.0) and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (K21.-) which have distinct clinical presentations and coding.
• Ensure the physician's documentation clearly states "dyskinesia" or a specific type of esophageal spasm/motility disorder.
• Do not use for secondary esophageal dysmotility unless the primary cause is also coded.
