• Differentiate from Tourette's disorder (F95.2), which requires both multiple motor and one or more vocal tics.
• Ensure the duration of tics is explicitly documented as chronic (at least one year) to support this code.
• Do not use for transient tic disorder (F95.0), where tics have been present for less than one year.
