Use this code when documentation clearly indicates a diagnosis of depression specifically linked to the postpartum period. Physician documentation must explicitly state "postpartum depression" or similar terminology.

• Ensure the documentation specifies the postpartum onset; otherwise, a general depression code (e.g., F32.x, F33.x) may be more appropriate.
