Non-immune heparin-induced thrombocytopenia

Use this code when documentation clearly indicates a diagnosis of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) and explicitly states that it is non-immune in nature. This typically occurs in patients receiving heparin therapy who develop a platelet count drop without evidence of the anti-PF4/heparin antibodies characteristic of immune-mediated HIT.
